Germans March For Cannabis Legalization at Hanfparade 2015 - Nutzt Hanf!

The 19th Annual Hanfparade in Berlin, Germany. Leaving Berlin's train station they marched towards the Brandenburg Gate, stopping at the Ministry of Health and the Berlin Cathedral.

Thousands marched through the streets of Berlin. The Hanfparade organizers expected 7000, estimates say 8000 to 9000 did People were at the march. The peaceful demonstration sent a powerful message that a large number of Germans want cannabis to be legalized. People even smoked joints and bongs as they marched along without any problems from the police. 

Cannabis even Seems to be gaining more acceptance among politicians and the German government. The leading political party in Germany, the Christian Democratic Union, a staunchly Conservative Party recently issued a joint statement declaring "Only a regulated market for cannabis can Effectively Combat Organized Crime" . The Mayor of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Green politician Monika Herrmann even spoke at the event. 

The Possession of cannabis is illegal but charges are virtually always dropped. Growing or selling cannabis is fully illegal Although Germany does have a large hemp industry. Medical cannabis is available in Germany but as of January 2015 only a few hundred patients have been able to get the special permission from the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices - BfArM) needed to obtain, possess and consume cannabis.

Die 19te jährliche Hanfparade in Berlin. Vom Bahnhof aus geht es Richtung Brandenburger Tor, mit Halt am Gesundheitsministerium und der Berliner Kathedrale.

Tausende marchieren durch die Straßen von Berlin. Die Organisatoren der Hanfparade erwarteten 7000 Menschen, jedoch wird gesagt das zwischen 8000 und 9000 Menschen teilnahmen. Die friedvolle Demonstration sendete eine kraftvolle Aussage nach Außen, dass eine große Maße an Leuten in Deutschland die Legalisierung von Cannabis wünschen. Sie rauchten sogar Joints und Bongs während sie marchierten ohne dabei von der Polizei gestört zu werden.

Cannabis scheint auch unter Politikern und der Regierung mehr und mehr Akzeptanz zu erlangen. Sogar Teile der CDU sagten "Nur mit einem regulierten Markt für Cannabis könne man gegen die organisierte Kriminalität ankämpfen". Die Bürgermeisterin von Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg der Grünen hielt sogar eine Ansprache auf der Parade.

Der Besitz von Cannabis ist illegal jedoch werden Anzeigen von geringen Mengen oft fallen gelassen. Der Anbau und Verkauf ist komplett illegal auch wenn Deutschland eine große Hanf-Industrie hat. Medizinisches Cannabis ist bisher nur ein paar hundert Patienten in Deutschland erhältlich.
