I have been to many many of these things and I can say quite simply that CanEx Jamaica has been the best I have ever been to in 30+ years! Spending time back in the Carib is good enough on its own but when you add in the opportunity to meet and learn from the cannabis industry's best movers and shakers, the experience becomes unparalleled. The seminars were well curated and timely topics were covered with regard to the industry in Jamaica, the Caribbean, Latin/South America, Canada, US and more. I even saw many of the pioneers from Europe making their presence felt. Very positive vibes. The convention centre venue is located to the east of Montego Bay proper; very close to the resorts and not too far from the airport. It was well staffed and ran efficiently. The expo was not as large as some of the other canna events like Spannabis, MJ BizCon, Cannafest, etc., but I was very happy to speak with those who were present, including Ford motorcars of all brands! Great to hear they are pro cannabis (at least in the Carib) and incredible to see the progress made for cannabis normalization taking place. :)

Overall, this event was as much as one could ask for: beautiful setting, friendly people, access to pioneers and movers in the space, education and loads of great cannabis. Lookin like an annual trip for me, lol!

I like this place. Simple design, exposed cement brick and wood. Clean and minimalistic. The brands they carry are among the best, with a lot that have won awards or have been trending as of late. I also appreciated the wide array of products on display ranging from oils, tinctures and topicals, to patches, pills and drops.

This place looks like a dispensary from the outside and when you walk in, you are met with a refreshing "tile style" that feels more like an authentic apothecary or pharmacy dispensary. I saw loads of Cannabiotix strains of flower so I assume this is a house brand. It looked damned good.

Apart from those, the products here are among my favs including Bloom Farms, Moxie, Vegas Valley Growers and more...
 

From a distance, you could almost mistake the facade for a mexican restaurant... until you see the huge 420 on the gable! You've found Sahara Wellness. :) When you walk in, you realise this ain't no food joint; it's a joint joint! Located on the east side of The Strip it's not far from the action, and it's got a lovely gallery-like atmosphere to boot. They carry all my fav brands like M Pen, Tsunami and more. Qualified and helpful staff make this place a good call.

I popped in here on the way to a house party and the people behind the counter were friendly and helpful. Grabbed a few grams of flower for a reasonable price, some Evergreen Organix chocolates for the host and a vape pen for later that was on special. Within 10 mins, I had my gear and was on my way to the party with favours in hand. :)

From the outside, you'd never know what's goin on inside! The facility is huge but the actual dispensary area is much more intimate, with a queue that starts at the door and goes along the various displays and products. There is some very chill artwork that adorns the interior and gives it a nice feel. Some funny cutouts of President Obama, and tRump to take selfies with. As you pass this stuff, you come to the products....

Here you're going to find weed you're looking for very quickly and they have some solid choices. I was surprised by the large variety of flowers and other "fresh" products for a dispensary with this floor space, but they do well to stock the shelves and move people through to find what they seek.

I'm normally not such a fan of pre-rolled joints... nor am I into "designer joints" that have either kief or concentrates mixed in. But that said, when I saw these beautiful artisanal hand rolled canna creations, I had to part with some of my hard earned bread to have one!

Now normally, big ass joints get a little too resinous for my liking and by the time you're half way through, it gets too sticky and oily and the flav and overall experience is affected. Not here. This joint all big and bad, certainly smokes like a fresh hit as it burns on down. You get big ass hits, and it doesn't get clogged or too disgusting after taking multiple hits on it. The flav was very fresh flowery actually, and makes for a nice food/alcohol pairing if you are having a special occasion.

Came in here to look for some less trendy genetics and found some great stuff on their menu including a very frosty Nebula strain that came out nicely for my lil bro. The staff is cool and offered some extra background info on many of the strains I was considering like their varous ranges of Cheese's. Centre of the town is a brilliant location for this kind of shop; introducing Cannabis to the masses. I'll be back. :)

I had a good time with these guys when I visited recently so I thought I'd post. The former shop was huge but this one has a tighter design actually. The staff is always helpful, know their shit and are willing to spend time with ya. They feature a lot of quality CBD products and of course cannabis seeds from Kiwiseeds, TH Seeds, Soma Seeds, Dampkring Classics, and many more champions. The new location of this shop and rebrand from Kiwiland to High Culture make sit worthwhile to drop in; while you're there, check out the fab Ten Katestraat area with a huge food hall and open air market. Great place to visit.

Yup some of my all time fav's come from this classic and well-proven company out of Cali, Amsterdam, Spain and Colorado.

S.A.G.E. is one of the sativas I like the most and their MK Ultra is also simply a banger from the other side. Double bubble I recall among others being among the finest that Amsterdam was churning out for awhile there around 2000. The guys over at THseeds are doing it right and I'm happy cos they are genuinely good guys who care about the patients and the plant more than the usual on the scene.

I have fond memories of Yanks over the years. Kicking back toking on their terrace, having an ice cold beer and a snack before heading out to the beach. Zandvoort always is a vibrant laid back day trip from Amsterdam and Yanks is a must see for those who love quirky places to toke. The interior of Yanks is like being immersed in a Western Native American landscape and it is pretty trippy, lol. This place is unique and that's exactly what I am looking for when I am getting high and socializing. :)

I never thought this day would come! A proper cannabis megastore like any high street "big box" biz. From first glance, the Planet 13 "terrain" is huge yet inviting, with playful colours and a huge spinning planet in the grand entrance that makes you feel like you've gone to Canna heaven, in a bling bling fashion. Like an Apple store on cannabis steroids, this sucker will wow even the most seasoned cannabis traveler who's seen every iteration of pot shop.

There are at least 30 staff members on hand, eager and well equipped to send you on your way with the right weed for you. The display cases are vast and have every product you can think of and even though it was packed, the queues moved along at a good clip and I never felt stressed about shopping there.

Located fairly close to the main part of the strip this shop is a must see if you are looking for a big crazy Vegas experience.

I was so pleased to get off of the strip and find a fantastic dispensary with extremely knowledgable staff. The people at Jardin love their work, and love this plant, and you can see it. I purchased Blueberry Cookies flower from Stellar Farm, some shatter from AMA and something I am really looking foreward to try - the World famous Cannagar. 

This stuff always has me flying! A rich oily flava coats my throat on the aftertaste. Just like what you see in the video, it is usally soft and creamy. It needs to be clean though, so you really need to have it tested if you are buying quantity. :)

I have always loved the Prix for all of the great fun things you can do there. From playing a game of pool, to board games and watching live sports, there is something for everyone. They have a good selection of drinks and snacks and now they even have a 3D movie theater! Glasses provided, you just show up, baked and enjoy.... Oh ya, Prix D'ami has GREAT weed! You need to check out the menu for yourself, but I can guarantee most everyone will find something exciting to toke on. :)

Hortilab has some of the nicest sour weeds I have smoked over the recent years! Love their genetics overall and I hope to see their weed show up in more and more coffeeshops and clubs around the world. The shop is really dope, like a skate shop or something like that! The staff was really friendly and know their shit.

Many,many years of a great history working with the Cannabis College crew. I like their approach to education and info, similar to the Smokers Guide style.

Their library is large and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful too. Their garden in the basement was one of the highlights of many a tourist's trip to Amsterdam. I heard it was no longer tolerated by the city council, but I have yet to check it out for myself. Is there still that AWESOME weed garden there?

Top spot to visit on the way to out for a good party! Havent taken truffles for a bit but we were on our way to a party near the Lplein and we decided to drop in. Tiny place, and with not so many things on offer as some of the other shops I got to. That said, this place is beautiful, like a gallery or museum showroom. The guy at the counter was cool. It was packed with some Italians who were asking about the legality and stuff. THe guy answered them wirh some good points about the tolerance in Holland and how we can't let them take it away. thumbs up.

we got a deal on 5 boxes (not sure if this is standard, or cos we were local) and we were flying!!!!! good shit, will be back for some not so trippy stuff, like the stimulants and herbs they got/
 

I always liked this shop. It has a style that is unique.... sort of campy, with crazy little things that make you smile.

They carry a full range of smart products and everything is always fresh.

The girls who work there are really friendly and speak great english (some are expats).

Their collection of aliens are so trippy, u feel a bit loopy before u even eat the truffles!

Yo guys, I have long admired Roor from a distance, occasionally smoking on their bongs at one of my friend's houses. I always love how solid they feel and how gorgeous they look. I really like the wine glass, bong combo that I took a picture of here above! Perfect for a wine lover and ganja man like myself. ;) The craftsmanship is at a high level and you know that as you take big tokes through a solid piece. It's like the Hummer of glass bongs! lol
 
 

Trying to quit tobacco is a bitch. This stuff makes it a lot easier to deal with smoking hash and for that I am thankful. The flav is interesting, to say the least. You can taste the eucalyptus from time to time, and i think the papaya may be a bit harsh bit it's hard to tell. I would like to isolate each component and smoke them separately. :)

I wonder why they chose these particular leaves? Overall, these products are good to try and give a better option than the status quo.

Loads of different tshirt designs and blacklight psychedelic stuff. Great for raves and techno parties. The music is always as loud as u can stand, but these guys sure know how to pack souvenirs and gifts into every square centimeter! hehe

All kinds of drug stuff, funny shit, and events info. Cool staff, I think it's one of the best in town and there is really no other quite like it.

Ive always been a fan of Homegrown Fantasy coffeeshop cos they usually have all bio weed and they truly believe in what they do. The Fantaseeds Garden shop has always kept up their good reputation. Of course they offered the usual big name brands but some of the house strains they offered back in the day were certainly worth the price on the pack!

Love this place for a long time since it was taken over and made over. The crowd is mainly young and fun... students and a few tourists sprinkled in for good measure. The fact that they have a hotel above the place means that there are always a nice blend of people.

Live bands to DJ's, it's all at the Kingdom. I hit it up as often as I am partying on the Warmoesstraat more frequently these daze.... :)

This place shop has undergone many transformations, and most recently has been switched from Dampkring Gifts to Kiwiseeds. The kiwi's were always the driving force behind the shop and now their great strains and good grow supplies are all under one roof.

My personal favs are their Mako Haze and Tasman Haze strains cos they are SOOOO tasty! I also love their little garden out the back... it consistently displays some of the coolest hybrids you can find growing in Amsterdam.

The staff are friendly and very helpful; on numerous occasions, I personally witnessed them steering clients away from options that didn't suit them, even though the shop would have made a bigger profit. Big UP for that!

I mixed up the hash like it was going into a sausage of some sort...smash, mush, squish, press and boom.... from the rolling tray straight into the cone and blam. done. Super easy.

• PROS: I like the ease of use and I like the super big, well rolled filters in these thing... it makes for a super-pulling jointje!
• CONS: I would like to see Cones line offer different types of papers including non-bleached and it would clearly be better for the environment if they could find a way to use a little less packaging. :)

Aside from all that, the Cones products are perfect for beginners or those who are in a hurry. For me this is the perfect product to bring to a concert or festival where you are probably too ripped to be able to roll a good joint anyway! (See some of my BushDoc Talks Shit [BDTS] posts for more on that madness.) hehe

My friend grew some of this out and it was delicious! Nice and diesely,with a sharp and strong pungent flav. The high was quite heady but yet still a little zombifying! lol

The plants were hardy and bug resistant and he had nothing but good shit to say about them.... we got some AK-48 to try out... coming soon.

I love to be offered some monster dishes of food after firing up fat spliffs of stong ganja and the Greenhouse United certainly does the trick! It's a little crowded in there usually, but damn the shit they got in there is worth the effort.

and yes, @tuckerborr the aquarium in the floor is DOPE!!!! Ya gotta hand it to these guys, they make the coffeeshop experience more special than the most others out there.

This third and latest bar from the "madman on the Niewendyk" is a cracker! Huge, with so many shishas, you'd think you're in Istanbul! Loads of places to kick back and relax, they are TOTALLY smoker friendly, even allowing yours truly to fire up the funky haze!!!

The people who drop in are up for fun and the staff usually oblige. The owner makes you feel at home, the beers and cocktail list are extensive and they have some seriously tasty Lebanese food for a really decent price.

As far as smoking, drinking, sports and music go, this may be one of the TOP places that has it all on the Nieuwendijk, check it!

Rest in Pot, my good friends at HGF. For MANY lovely years, you have served up the finest bio weed and unique, from the heart strains!

From the art on the walls to the lovely sunny terrace, I have enjoyed many a fine session on your friendly premises.

We will miss you a lot, and be looking forward to new creations from Homegrown Fantaseeds.

This place has always been fun. The weed has been steady although I usually choose for their Super Polm. The bar is great here cos it's huge and there are a bunch of pool tables upstairs too. The Doors Palace is COVERED with all sorts of mementos from the music industry, giving a stoner's eyes plenty to deal with! hehe The staff are nice and will chat with tourists and locals alike. Well fun place to kick it!

I used to go GC all the time until it became Happy Feelings. NativeK liked the place so I came by for some of their weeds and I stayed for the clean atmosphere and good tunes. And of course the vapourisers!!! One on each table, led colour changing and more. The weed is well priced and generally high quality.

Worth stopping by.

Love this place, u can fire up fat joints, smoke from bongs or try the shisha. They have food here too which sorts out the munchies. It is rare for me to like such bars cos they are normally touristy but not here! You should visit.

I always liked the first Wonder Bar but this little brother in the heart of the Red Light is great too! Many shishas to choose from and all sorts of beers and cocktails on tap. You can fire up a fatty there with no issues too. Friendly staff and great location make this place an SG Fav!

I have always been a fan of Soma seeds. He takes great care to respect the plant, the environment, and the people. :) It was hard to find some of his really good strains for awhile but now it seems supply has returned. 

I have personally smoked many versions of Lavender grown out and can say that they ALL have had incredible traits unique to their fine genetics. A few years back we got some feminized Somango seeds to try and we planted them very early and were lucky to have a warm long season. Those beauties grew long and strong!

By the time the weather shifted most of the plants had turned an awesome blue-purple. The smoke was sweet, spicy and tangy. Yum. Check out my reviews on these bad boys....
