I want to forget about this place, but this means there is a possibillity I will visit again, so I'll just keep remembering.
I was the only customer when I was there which is not a fun thing in a chillplace like this.
Marijuana menu: The joint was not cheap, tasted okey but knocked me out as I had to sit on the nearby Rembrandtsquare for a hour when I left.

If the weather is good the terrace is an exellent spot to sit and enjoy the view on the nice squere, next to the very busy Leidseplein. Inside crappy seating.

Exellent setting around the corner of a sidestreet on your way to the Leidseplein.
Real cool hangout, comfortable seatings and a jah lives atmosphere. The reggea vibes went real well with the intereor and people.
Marijuana menu: It might have been because of this Northern Light but I had the best joint I ever had. Of course the whole atmosphere of the moment added to the experience.

Reggea music of course. Fantastic murals of Bob Marley. Perfect place to visit on a sunny day.

Ideal for a late night smoke.
Looks like an old fashioned Dutch bar but the crowd is very loose, which results in a unique mix of coffeeshop & pub atmosphere.
Marijuana menu: Had the Phazer which was damn good stuff. Good quality for your money: I payed only 4.80 for the prerolled plus a coke, which is a positive exception in this neighboorhood.

Go there when they have a party
You can tell this is one of the most popular coffeebars in Amsterdam and you will rarely find an empty seat. The interior does not look cheap but it makes a tacky impression. Didn't like the nervous atmosphere.
Marijuana menu: Extended menu. Had the Thai which was okey. Prices are rather high which makes me wonder if they charge extra for the interior which I did not like that much anyway.

This place will definetly be on my list whenever I want to show mates what an Amsterdam coffeeshop is all about.
Cool hangout in the middle of the red light district. The guy at the bar is very friendly and so is his big black dog. Nice looking interior with two boots which make this an ideal place to smoke with friends.
Marijuana menu: Had the Bubblegum which was a pleasant surpise; enjoyed it very much.
Service & staff: The guy speaks in his native language Hungarian to the dog who doesn't seem to care that much. The rare moments he is not talking to his dog he is very friendly and helpful to the customers.

Down in the basement and not a place I like.

Just have a look and enjoy this place. Looks like a mideval interior. To buy some bud you have to go into the cellar where the moistness grabs you. Ring the bell and the window of the shop opens to offer you all these goodies.

Shabby interior which fits well with the Reggae memorabilia on the walls. Not very much room inside.

Perfect spot on a sunny afternoon: the front gate opens entirely and you have a great view on the canal and the street. The inside looks like an ols garage turned into a coffeeshop, but it keeps the heat out.

Very spacious with three floors. Each floor has its own style so you will surely find a spot which suits you here. Enjoy the interior and the crowd.

Service & staff: The most friendly service from the girl behind the bar, who regulary goes upstairs to check if anybody needs a drink. The guy at the counter gives you what you need without any fuss.

When I went out the guy shouted something stupid at me just to score more points with his friends
Quite small with just three undersised booth. This place has a name with the incrowd and this shows because most of the time customers are waiting in a row. Most of them go out again after they have been served. Only a few locals stay at the bar.
Marijuana menu: This AK47 is unbelievable. But be warned as it is very strong. If I would have known they had this strong stuff I would have been prepared. Before I finished the joint I was already stoned enough not to remember which way I came from.
Service & staff: The blond guy who was serving spoiled everything. He does not like to help you too much because other customers are waiting. But really low is when there is nobody to be served he likes to make fun and ridicule the past few customers to his friends.

Great view on the market by the window
Unlike many coffeeshops who deperately try to look authentic, this place has it all: setting on the corner of a market square, a very open bar look with large windows and a wooden interior.
Low profile attitude where locals meet.
Marijuana menu: Small but the right names of which Northern Lights is a must. I tried the skunk prerolled which was a dissapointment.
Service & staff: Strange but the guy at the counter does have a coutious attitude. You get wat you want without any fuss though and they leave you alone which some people do like.

People were allready hanging out of the windows of the upstairs floors so I crashed in the basement where it was cool and quiet. The place looks great from the inside as well as from the outside.

The Mexican interior probably looked nice a long time ago and the place looks like they don't like cleaning at all. Not big, but enough place on the wooden benches.
Marijuana menu: Seems like a lot of locals get their gear here. The prices are good and their Blueberry was allright. Limited weed menu.

There are better options in the Warmoesstreet just around the corner.
Narrow and small. Most visitors here just buy their gear and leave, and I can't blame them because there is no way to feel comfortable in this place.

This place could have it all
Not very attratctive on a cold winter day: the place looks rough because they don't seem to repair much. Not bad but not very thrilling either, except if you still kick on graffitti.
Marijuana menu: I had their mix weed which was good. Prices were okey, but prerolled are sold per 3, which is something not done in a cool relaxed coffeeshop.

Blue lights inside
A supermarket style metal gate prevents you from entering untill somebody pushes a button while you are in already for everybody to see but stuck on this square meter. Putton needs to be pushed again by somebody when you leave. Feels and looks like a jail?

Not a place to visit on your own if you are a tourist.
This place has a billiards table in the middle of the place. And it gets worse: the billiards table has red velvet. So you get what you asked for when you enter: a tensed atmosphere which is usually to be found in biker café's, NOT in coffeeshops.

This place gives the mind a rest because you already feel relaxed when you enter, and the weed takes care of the rest.
Spacious interior, especially upstairs. You won't find that many coffeeshops which don't use every square meter to put chairs and tables.
