I am embarrassed that this is known as being an American-run operation.... The decor of the place wasn't so bad but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. A little too clubby for those of us over 30.
Marijuana menu: I came to this shop because I've heard nothing but good things about the weed. On my first visit in 1999, I tried their bubblegum...not bad. Then, in 2001 I went back and got some yellow cab--not properly cured and as potent as fly dung.
Service & staff: I am rarely negative when it comes to talking about coffee shops in Amsterdam, but I have to say that the guys running this place were the rudest.

When my wife and I come to Amsterdam, we've made it a tradition to drop everything off at the hotel and come to Homegrown Fantas I really like the lay out of this place-colorful but relaxing. Nice art on the walls. It is also quite roomy for a coffee shop-have never had problems finding a table.
Marijuana menu: The menu here isn't that big, but the quality of their marijuana has never disappointed me. In fact, my wife and I usually have to make a hasty retreat so as not to embarrass ourselves (we always end up giggling uncontrolably here). Great Jack Herrer.
Service & staff: The service has always been top notch. The staff is always friendly and very patient.

Go in, get your blueberry, go out and enjoy! I don't rember much, but I do remember I felt as if I were sitting in an ampitheater dating back to the early 1970's. Not very comfortable, really.
Marijuana menu: The Blueberry lived up to its name....I think....don't really remember....ummm....I guess that means it was great....
Service & staff: Both times I went there we were served by some weird guy. Maybe I was just getting paranoid, but he seemed to be staring through me.... He wasn't from Scotland, that's for sure.

Marijuana menu: Fairly average as far as menus go. Not bad, though. I honestly can't remember what I bought there, but is wasn't bad whatever it was.
Service & staff: Staff is always attentive. The hot chocolate is excellent. Internet access is reasonably priced.

Just a nice place to hang out Fun place to explore--3 different levels with different rooms (if I recall properly). I really enjoyed the top level sitting next to a mini-grow room.
Marijuana menu: The menu was pretty good and I remember enjoying what we smoked-wish I could remember what it was exactly.
Service & staff: The staff there was pretty cool. A bit hurried, but this place always seemed to be busy. I admire the quick reflexes of one of the young servers there as she threw a garbage can at a young Brit just before he threw up. Good eye!
