5 trips to Amsterdam from the US and maybe a dozen to the Blue Bird
Opens at 9am, we always find a seat, originators of the whipped cream & choco syrup hot coco and great smoke photos on the wall. Last week it was decorated with patrons art on the back of their drink coasters!
Marijuana menu: The best international selection. Lots of worldly unusuals like Swazi, Vietnam and Durban Poison grass. The undisputed black hash champs of Amsterdam! Once you see those weed & hash atlas' you'll never be the same!
Service & staff: Friendly, informative and helpful dealer always quick with a suggestion. The coffee gals are pretty cold but not too bad.

Seems like your average coffeeshop
Nice place to duck into while in the red light district. We scored a nice window seat but the place had a temporary feel to it, not one you'd want to camp out in for the afternoon.
Marijuana menu: Not too extensive (as I recall), and we picked up the inexpensive 'casablanca' hash that was average at best. Wish I tried the Jack! lol
Service & staff: Again, nothing really stood out. It seemed like a tourist-oriented spot.

An attractive coffeeshop close to the Dam with a nice wooden decor complete with that cool Hindi vibe. Always too busy, I was surprised when we scored a window table our last visit.
Marijuana menu: Last year we stocked up on superb hash brownies and grass muffins for a Klaus Schulze concert. March'02 gave us the opportunity to try the Caramello Hash. Mmm, mmm! I wish Cadbury would sell bars of this in the US!
Service & staff: Informative but not overly friendly. I think the reviewer before me put it well..."typical Dutch"!
Summary : It's a nice shop, it only really suffers from Dam Sq. syndrom: too damn close to Central Station, thus too many customers and that almost jaded feel to the staff. Shame, though, it is pretty cool. It's one of the only t-shirt purchases I made. Full Review & Rating Breakdown

Nice decor, looks comfy for breakfast. Only stopped by for some smoke to go...
Marijuana menu: I was so pumped up about trying the CC winner Sweet tooth that I picked up 3 grams and only 1 gram of the mekong haze. Loved the haze but found myself disapointed by the Sweet Tooth. I tasted/felt like soooo many other smokes. What's the big deal?
Service & staff: The waitress looked a bit stressed but the dealer was more than happy to talk shop. I'd like to stop by for a full breakfast next time.
