Throughout the world the penalties for growing marijuana range from the ludicrous to the banal.

The rules have changed considerably over the last couple of years with regards to growing in Holland. We would like to thank the small-minded French for this, as they enjoy blaming their own problems on the Dutch.
  I suppose it’s easier than admitting that they’re just incompetent. Anyway listed below are the penalties for being caught growing here in the Netherlands.

0 ~ 5 None.
5 ~ 10 50 Hfl fine per plant, second offence 75 Hfl per plant.
10 ~ 100 125 Hfl fine per plant and or ˝ day per plant in prison.
100 ~ 1.000 25,000 Hfl fine and or 2-6 months in prison.
1.000 + 25,000 Hfl fine and or 6 months in prison & 2 years on parole.
